Raven's treasure box

Hello everyone and happy Thursday!! 

It's time for a new Lavina World challenge featuring Lavinia stamps.  We are a bi-weekly challenge blog and the theme is always "Anything Goes".

Here is my inspiration for Challenge #36

This was such a fun box to create as it was for a special friend!

The background is made from alcohol inks, then I tore a piece of paper and inked the mountains in.  I then placed Raven where I wanted her and went from there with the rest of the scene.  I always have a general idea of what I want to do however when I get going I just go with the flow.   I used a metal wing and covered it with black gesso and then inked it with Alchemy Fire Ruby wax, then attached to Sirlus where his wings are. I added the sentiment bar and the corner pieces and then I used Modge Podge over the complete top.

Fairy Wishes for your birthday!

We have a new challenge starting today at

Lavinia World

To create this piece I start by tracing the inner circle on cardstock then I used my VersaFine Clair inks to create the background, when I was happy with the background I stamped the

I started with a Prima Resin Frame and added Black Gesso to it and all the metals.  I took Alchemy waxes and to the pieces let them dry and adhered them with 3 in 1 glue.

Mixed Media Altered frame and Lavinia stamps

Happy Thursday all!

It has been awhile since I have posted to my blog however I am hoping it will be a little more frequent in the future!  I have been working on my online store
Cardsbycharlene as my retirement date is nearing♥

I am sharing a mixed media frame I did with the amazing Lavinia stamps!

These stamps caught my eye awhile ago and I had to cave and start playing with them.

I have used 4 of their stamps in this scene...Willow the witch, Bats, Seasonal Tree, and Fairy Web.

I took a gold frame and applied black gesso, and then used art alchemy waxes .  I used the Versa Fine Clair inks for the background of the image, except for the yellow it is a chalk I had. Most of the supplies  I used for this project are from 7 Kids Craft Store.  I stamped the cauldron twice and then made a little slice in the top and put a little cotton to give the effect of the steam.
