A little Present for you!

Happy Thursday to you all.  Are you almost done with all your shopping for the Christmas season?  Just 20 days left let the hustle and bustle begin.
I made this card for the Make it Crafty's  sketch challenge for the Facebook group, and their coloring with Red and Green and adding texture at the Make it Colorful challenge blog.  You can get this adorable image for only a dollar if you are member of the facebook group. Her name is Emo Willow Gift and you can find her at Make it Crafty stamps.  I am also entering into the DT call for Make It Crafty, so wish me luck there is lots of talent in that group!

The Make it Colorful challenge was to use the colors red and green and add texture.  I used the copic blending solution and a old terry rag to texture the green of the present, I added stickles to her leggings and glossy accents to the rubber of her sneakers.  Here is a little closer picture so you can see the detail.

It's your Special Day!

I would like to wish you all a very "Happy Thanksgiving"  I hope you all enjoy your families and make some lasting memories.

There is nothing more special than one of your children's birthdays and this week my oldest son will be 38.  He was a Thanksgiving baby so we celebrated this past weekend.  This is the card I made for him.  My image is "Aussie Santa" and I just did a little bit of a twist on him, you can get this jolly ole man at " Make It Crafty."

He is colored with copics.  I did my shading with "Walnut Stain" distress ink.  The DP is "Romance Novel" by Prima, then I just ran a piece of kraft card stock through the crimper and distressed it.  I used the little loopy brads to tie the twine with.  I added some glossy accents to his can of cheer.

Have a great week!
Hugs,

Christmas is Coming!

Hi there and happy Friday to you all!  Christmas is right around the corner I tell you time flies these days.  Special day for me today as I got to go have a Thanksgiving feast with my youngest grand-daughter Megan at her school, the smile on her face is priceless!  Did some Christmas shopping so I feel pretty accomplished today and I had some coloring time this morning!

I have been busy making Christmas cards and this is a little scene I put together

I love Tilda she won my heart years ago and still makes me smile when I color her!  This little image is an older one it is "Tilda with Star"  I used the 3 trees stamp from Magnolia-licious and just cut the free standing one off.   Images are colored with copics and then I added  "scribbles white mist puff paint" to the tress for the snow effect and dimension, then added the red glass jewels. This is a center panel stair step card cut with the wishblade using the Silhouette Studio Program.  The swirl is a Magnolia DooHickey Die.  The papers are Basic Grey "Nordic Holiday"

A little side view for you!

Engine #25....All Aboard

TGIF...not sure what it is but I sure like it when Friday is here, even if I have to work tomorrow!  Hope everyone had a great week, mine was a good one productive in many areas.  I had the day off yesterday so I thought I would work on some Christmas cards.  I first saw this image awhile back colored by the very talented Jennifer Dove.  She is such an inspiration to me and this is one of the images she will be using at her upcoming card class which I cannot attend so I thought I would just give it a try on my own.

This image "Engine 25" is by Stampendous.  I have stamped the image twice and cut out the train scene and raised the outer layer. The edges are distressed with walnut stain.  My image is colored with copics.  The DP is "so this is Christmas" by Carta Bella.  I have a little stickles to the holly berries for a little bling.  This is one of the coolest stamps I have seen in awhile.

Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Crafty Little Fairies - Christmas in Nov.

It's Friday do you have any special plans for the weekend?  I will be working but that is ok because this time next week it is vacation time for me.....Yep that's right and I am headed for California :)  I have been having so much fun just being back to my coloring and then I stumbled onto this little cutie from Sherri Baldy.  Have no clue what her name is but she is just to cute for words.

They are having a challenge at my old stomping grounds Color Me Creative challenge group and they wanted pink!  She is defiantly pink :)  I used the RV group of the copics for her.  I have added some fun flock to her jacket cause you know a princess robe has fur.  I added stickles to her top, ruffle, socks and of course her Tira!  The swirl was cut with the Cricut and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.  Once again everything was from my stash except the little cutie herself she is new!  Here is a close up so you can see the detail.

A little Non-Traditional Christmas

Hey Hey it is hump day and my day off !  The weather here is beautiful today, and I am excited cause I will get some time to lay in the pool and relax, it has been really overcast and cloudy here lately so I am glad to see Mr. Sun today!

I decided to join up in the Mini card kit swap in the Magnolia-licious group so I always like to make my card so I can make sure they get what they need.  I am trying very hard to use things I have and not buy anything cause I have tons of stuff that has just been sittin around collecting dust KWIM!  So the new item here is the cardstock base and the little bows!   The rest has been here:)

I have used the mini "Tilda with a Lantern" and have perched her on some twigs.  She is colored with copics.  The fur on her jacket is done with some flower soft and her mittens and socks have stickles added to them.  I have raised her and the sentiment for depth.

I hope the gals that get the kits have fun with them!  That makes 2 Christmas cards done already :)

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Paper Shelter - #123 punches and dies
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Dutch Magnolia Chickies - anything goes #49
Creative Inspirations - something old/ something new

Enjoy your day!

Wow it has been forever since I have posted on my blog!  As some of you may know I experienced some pretty rough health issues this past couple of years.  There was a point there where I was not sure if I was going to make it.  I am doing much better now, working out at the gym trying to stay somewhat in shape.  Life has taken so many different turns for me in the last couple of years that it seemed to get in the way of my crafting time.  As life would have it I have a Baker's cyst behind my right knee so I was told to stay off of it, keep it elevated and iced so that is how I ended up in the craft room!  It feels good to be back so hopefully this is the start of me being active again.

So much has changed with blogger I have to figure out how to update my sidebar etc..  oh well one thing at a time LOL!

Well I just wanted to say hi and let you know I am still here!

My little image is Tilda with Lace jeans, she is colored with copics and this was from a card kit from my friend Linda Palmer.

Challenges:
CMC Challenge Group -  anything goes
Through the Craftroom Door Challenge - anything goes

Have a great day
