Christmas is Coming!

Hi there and happy Friday to you all!  Christmas is right around the corner I tell you time flies these days.  Special day for me today as I got to go have a Thanksgiving feast with my youngest grand-daughter Megan at her school, the smile on her face is priceless!  Did some Christmas shopping so I feel pretty accomplished today and I had some coloring time this morning!

I have been busy making Christmas cards and this is a little scene I put together

I love Tilda she won my heart years ago and still makes me smile when I color her!  This little image is an older one it is "Tilda with Star"  I used the 3 trees stamp from Magnolia-licious and just cut the free standing one off.   Images are colored with copics and then I added  "scribbles white mist puff paint" to the tress for the snow effect and dimension, then added the red glass jewels. This is a center panel stair step card cut with the wishblade using the Silhouette Studio Program.  The swirl is a Magnolia DooHickey Die.  The papers are Basic Grey "Nordic Holiday"

A little side view for you!

OUR CHARITY:

Reading is Fundamental is the charity I have chosen to sponsor this season.  As you all know I am an avid reader and it amongst my very favorite things to do in my spare time.  I truly believe that literacy and reading opens up many doors in life for everyone.  Not only can you find joy in books but it opens your eyes to other cultures, places and people that is so worthwhile.  And just the fact that a huge part of life involves being able to read--to get through school, get a great job and navigate through life.  For me teaching children to read early on in life is a MUST yet so many children are not provided with the basic materials to learn to read.  So this charity is a non-profit that provides books to children and opportunities to bring literacy into areas that need it!
Click here to donate, but we would really love it if you would come and join us with a beautiful holiday card.
I knew what I was going to do as soon as Suzanne told us the challenge....

My card is done with "Snowy with a snowflake" and the pine trees both are stamps from Magnolia-licious, I also used the fence doo-hickey die.  I used the snowflakes embossing folder and then went over it with Antique Linen distress ink.  The big gold snowflake under the sentiment is a "Whimsy die"  I have added stickles to the trees and the snowflake for bling.
Here is a side view of my card.
