Snow Queen

A very happy Monday to you all!  It is time for another challenge at Aurora Wings, and it is your favorite "Anything Goes"!  Can you believe it has been 2 years we have been able to create with these beautiful images.  To celebrate the occasion we are doubling up the prizes so be sure to head over to the challenge blog and read all about it!

For my project I have used the the beautiful "Snow Queen".  My image is colored with copics.  When I finished coloring the image, I adhered my my images to a light weight piece of chipboard.  I applied pieces of napkins around the edges with matte medium, then once I had those where I wanted them applied guesso for texture.  Once that was completed I took water colors and starting closest to the image painted away to cover the guesso.  It is a fun way to do a project for a journal cover or to frame a project.

Snapdragon Sprite Delight!

Warm and Fuzzy

Welcome to our 21st Challenge at Aurora Wings.  My goodness!  Only 4 more sleeps until it's Christmas.  WooHoo!  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and you get some time to make some special memories with your family! 

Our theme for this challenge is Warm and fuzzy...so just what is it that gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling I can't wait to see your interpretation of this challenge.

I have used the sweet little "Puppy with Santa hat"  I love my dogs they are just like one of the family.

Aurora Wings anything but a card!

A very happy Monday to you all!  We are starting the week off with a new challenge at Aurora Wings. For this challenge we want to see anything but a card.  There are so many possibilities for this challenge especially at this time of year.

I have use the adorable Mistletoe sprite, for my project.  I went with a slider box I think they are just to cute.  You can find instructions on how to make this project here, at Spiltcoast stampers.

I used some metal brads from Graphic 45 for the knob on the little drawer.  The DP is Imaginisce the Polar expressions collections.  My image is colored with copics on Neenah Solar White.

Christmas is coming!

Dia de los Muertos

New Challenge at Aurora Wings

A very happy Monday to you all!  We are back after a nice break with a new challenge at Aurora Wings, it is one of your favorites....anything goes!  It is so hard to decide on which image I want to do as I love them all.  For this challenge I have used the beautiful "Poppy Elf".  My image is colored with copics, the DP is from my stash.  I have matted my card on Heavenly White card stock, the focal image is colored on Neenah Solar White, you can find these at Paper Temptress along with tons of other amazing deals on paper.

Daisy Elf

Hi there thanks for stopping by today!  It is time for a new monthly challenge at Aurora Wings!

I have used the adorable little Daisy Elf.  I just love her little face so I just had to color her up.  There are so many beautiful images in Mitzi's store that has wings I am sure you could find one to color up and join in the fun!

My card base is heavenly white, the layering papers are brown and pink basis, the focal image is colored on neenah solar white.  You can find all of these amazing papers at the Paper Temptress.

Flowers and Chicks

Happy Monday to you all!  It is time for Challenge 14 at Aurora Wings, this time it is all about the flowers!  This image is call "Easter basket of flowers" with "Easter Chicks".  I just fell in love with this image when I first seen it and those little chicks are just to cute.  I have kept the CAS design to showcase the images.  I have colored them with copics.  I colored the chicks twice and then fussy cut them out and popped them up for depth.  I added a little stickles to the flower center for bling.

I have used Heavenly White for my card base, I have used the beautiful Laser Silver Lustre and then framed it with Gold Sparkle, and a piece of lavender card stock.  You can find all of these beautiful papers at Paper Temptress.  Patricia is having some great sales at Paper Temptress so be sure to check them out and stock up on some paper.

Always in your heart

Hi there and a very happy Monday to you all!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  I have just came off a 10 day vacation in California so I am a happy girl.  I spent the week crafting and coloring away with my dear friend Sharron and visiting my youngest grandsons.

It is time for another challenge at Aurora Wings, this time it is nice and easy for all to enter as it is anything goes.  I chose this image as I needed to make a sympathy card for my boss as she lost her Dad very unexpectedly in the beginning of Feb.  I apologize for the picture however it is the best one I could get with the true color....I tried a photo tent, outside, inside with my camera and the purples were looking all mismatched LOL!  So this is one with my phone and it is the best one of them all.

I have used the beautiful "Pansy Corner 2" for this card and it could be used for so many different style cards.

Sweet Valentine Girl

A very happy Monday to you all!  It's time for another challenge at Aurora Wings and this time we want to see your Valentine cards, they can be pro valentine or anti valentines!  I choose to do the pro valentine and used the sweet little image "Valentine Girl with freckles and hearts" she reminds me of my youngest granddaughter so this is a little card just for her!

For my card I have used heavenly white as the base.  The background is pink on bronze Hambly screen print and the edging is watermelon sorbet.  All these beautiful papers can be found at Paper Temptress, as well as the ribbon. The little pennant's are from Bo Bunny primrose collection.  My image is colored with copics.

Angels on High

Hi there and a very happy Monday to you all!  This is the last challenge of the year for Aurora Wings and I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Thanks so much for playing along with us through out the year.

This challenge is "All that Glitters" for my project I have used the beautiful "Leanne's Angel"

I have used an 8 x 10 canvas and put mod podge on it, laid crinkled tissue paper on it and let it dry overnight.  I put the 5 x 7 image on and mod podge over the complete project again.  I like doing this as it keeps it easier to wipe off dust.  The corner pieces are Tim Holtz and then I added a beautiful velvet braided edging on the sides.

My image is colored with copics and then I added stickles to her wings and flowers for the sparkle.

Celebrate the Season!

A very happy Monday to you!  I can't believe it is the middle of November already where does the time go.  We have a new challenge up for you at Aurora Wings and it is a nice easy one "Anything goes".  For my inspiration today I have used the adorable "Little Shepherd"  I think he makes a cute little Christmas card.

 

 

He is colored with copics.  The little lamb has some fun flock on him to give him the real look.  The DP's are baxic grey "Nordic Holiday"  I love basic grey papers on of my favorites.  I have kept this little card clean and simple as to not take away from the image.

 

 

I love to pop my papers and image I like the dimensional effect it gives.

Good morning and a happy Monday to you all!  I hope your week is getting off to a great start, mine is as I am on vacation.  This is the perfect time of year to be off work here in the southwest desert as the weather is just beautiful!

The Bone Queen will see you!

Happy Hump day to you, hope your week is going well and that the rest of it just flies by.  We have a special challenge starting today at Aurora Wings.  It is all Gored Up!  That's right we want you to have fun...we want to see BLOOD, guts or whatever your creative dark side comes up with.  I have to say I was a little hesitant as I have never done anything like this but once I got started I had so much fun with it! 

I have used "Bone Queen" and gored her up by adding blood dripping out of her eyes, mouth and dripping from the blood poppies!   The spider wed DP is from Basic Grey "Eerie".  The web frame is from Silhoutte, and then I used the MS punch "Droopy Goo".  I cut apart a little skeleton and used his head and hands for the top I just felt he was perfect to perch above her.  My image is colored with copics with a little stickles added to the flower centers.  I hope you join us in our challenge and let your mind run wild..................

A touch of Darkness!

A very happy Monday to you!  I have some exciting news to share... I am now a part of the very talented "Aurora Wings DT"!  I was so over the moon when Mitzi asked me to join her team.  I love her images, they are so much fun to color and play with.

I have used the beautiful "Momento Mori" image!  There is just something about this image that intrigues me.  You can get this and many more fabulous images here.

 

My image is colored with copics, I have used the Echo Park "Apothecary Emporium" papers.  The sentiment is one I found online. I added some black tulle, and the orange netting for some bling with a little stickles in the center of the flowers.  Then I sprinkled a little black glitter on the bottom for some depth.
