Beauty under the Sea!

Happy Monday to you all!  I am so excited to be here sharing with you as a Guest Designer for Challenge #6 at Aurora Wings!  I was so honored when Mitzi asked me as she has a lot of talent on her team!  The theme for this challenge is "Under the Sea", and I have used the beautiful image called "A Dark Undercurrent" the full version.  If you have not checked out Mitzi' images you are really missing out you can find them here.

This image is very captivating to me I just love her with her skulls, like maybe she is missing her loved ones!
I came across this cool green snakeskin paper that I thought was just perfect.  I took some cheesecloth and spritzed it with copic refill ink to match, then added a little hair spray to it to stiffen it up and inter-twined it with a little gold netting, added a couple of shells, and a flower that is it!  She is colored with copics and has a little stickles on her for some bling.

Copics used:
Skin:  E50, 51 R20
Fin: BG09, 11,15, 23 and G02
Hair: E30, 33
Skulls : C00, 1, 2
Blues:  B0000, B000, B00
Sand: E41, 42, 43

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Pile it on - #33 by the sea
Hanna and Friends - sun, beach, sea
The squirrel and the fox - #75 anything goes
Stamping with the dragon- sun, sand, sea
Fab 'n' Funky - #225 inspired by a movie "Pirates of the Caribbean"
Crafting from the heart - #32 anything goes
The Craft Place - Nautical
A Creative Romance - fantasy

That's it for me have a great week, find some time to get creative it is good for your soul!
Hugs,

Thank you so much for being a guest designer for Aurora Wings, Charlene. This is such a beautiful creation. I love the green snake skin paper that coordinates with the green fluke of the mermaid. It gives a hint of the reptilian predatory sense to the image.

Big hugs,
Mitzi xxx

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love how you explained how you made your cheesecloth embellishment that doesn't look like cheesecloth at all! This is a GREAT GREAT card, Charlene!!! Hugs, Gail
